Andrew Day
Co-FOUNDER
Andrew started out as an ice-cream man selling ‘99 Flakes to the good folk walking around Richmond Park, serving none other than Sir Mick Jagger and Simon le Bon. They weren’t together, that’d be gossiping. Andrew then went on to create the album artwork for two of Duran Duran’s albums, ‘Medazzaland’ and ‘Pop Trash’, even shooting over 62 hours of ‘on the road’ footage of the band’s 2000 ‘Pop Trash’ tour of North America, (watch this space). Andrew also co-founded the art department for EMI Music, working directly with some of their most iconic recording artists including David Bowie, The Beatles, Queen, Brian Eno and The Sex Pistols.
Dan Douglass
Co-FOUNDER
Dan hails from a family of screenwriting, TV production and design talent. Which makes it kind of perverse that he chose a career in advertising as a copywriter and executive creative director. Over twenty-five years later, the penny finally dropped and he swapped short-form brand storytelling for film and TV. Which is why, alongside his regular writer/producer duties with Strike a Light, he has also turned his hand to helping others pitch their dreams. He feels strongly that creative campaigning can be deployed in giving scripts a leg-up at development stage. After all, bringing ideas to life and finding creative ways to pitch them is hard-wired into him.
